High-pressure nitrogen gas charge, custom-tuned valving plus the patented VST˝ combine to overcome harsh conditions. Cold-drawn hardened and tempered steel rod for extra strength?shocks are warranted for as long as you own your vehicle! Over uneven city streets or highway expansion strips, the VST˝ senses the "easy" piston travel and tailors the ride for greater comfort. No annoying thump caused by heavy belted tires and radials. During a hard ride the VST˝ senses the faster piston travel and instantly increases damping resistance. Rough road or no road? VST˝ "knows" it and provides the control needed. Huge 1-3/8" bore (1-3/16" piston on applications with limited clearance) plus the 60% more fluid and gas capacity than conventional heavy-duty shocks means they run cooler to provide easier handling and greater stability. Additional features include huge 1-3/8" piston; 90% more working area than 1" shocks; 1/3 more working area than most heavy-duty shocks; bigger working area means shocks last far longer; larger working area also ensures shocks will control vehicle motion better and with far less internal working pressure.
